Yo! 

I am currently working on a SD set with my team and the set is due today at 5:30. Crunch time! 
However, I’m taking a break to write my post :) 

Things have been going well in HOUSTON. It rains ALL of the time, which I love so much. I went to another concert this weekend. I saw Borgore.. He was terrible this time. The first time
I saw him I was like obsessed, but I was so unimpressed this time around. I was frowning when the SAME beat dropped for the 5th time and this girl asked me if I was okay.. I answered with a “noo”. On the bright side, I did meet friends! They were like “omg you came to an EDM concert alone?”... LIKE YEAH? & THIS ISNT MY FIRST RODEO!  Like what else am I supposed to do on the weekend?

 Have you guys been doing stuff alone that you normally wouldn’t do? Do you like it or do you feel uncomfortable? 

Personally, I’m in the zone. It was still nice meeting new friends. Weekend before that I went to visit my friend cayman In Florida. I have some friends coming down to visit me for the st patty’s day parade in Houston and the weekend after that another friend is coming to hang. 

I’m going to overdose on coffee.. I’ve been pretty exhausted. What do you guys do to help with that? Or can you say “I DONT GET, I DONT GET TIRED” - *Kevin Gates voice*

Cool chair in this vegan restaurant that was absolute trash (the food) and it had a 4.5 rating? I had to yelp a review. Should I become a food critic if L A DOESNT work out?

I want an eclectus parrot *pictured*. This parrot was really stressed so it picked all its feathers. However I now know everything about parrots lowkey.

    I think it's so awesome that you are comfortable doing fun things on your own!! Typically I like to do things with friends because I enjoy the company and the dialogue/sharing the experience and being able to talk about it with someone. I think it depends on the experience for me. Like i've been skiing alone, but I've never gone out for drinks unless I was with friends/going to meet someone. Does that make any sense?

    And yeah!! You should def abandon landscape architecture to be a vegan food critic imo

Lately we've been working mostly on a couple of residential projects. One of them is for a local radio guy, which is pretty interesting. Part of the program is going to be an outdoor recording setup, so we need to deal with noise. I also got to put together a short video for the office Instagram of the concept process.   Other than the residential projects, we've also been redecorating the conference room. We're using professional photos taken after some big projects finished up and hanging them to showcase the office's work. We're doing it mostly DIY, and hanging them on these vertical mounts.

Austin Carbo - Design Workshop - Blog #7

Happy May y'all! Not too much has changed since my last post, but there are a few interesting things.  Work:  The project Bosshard Ranch is still on hold by the client, so nothing new to report there. My main focus has been on the  Bear Island project. I finished up the site analysis and now I am working on the illustrative plans for the project. We haven't finalized a design yet, but since Mike thinks this will be a project to submit for an ASLA award I just finished making an illustrative plan for the existing conditions. I haven't done a full illustrative plan at DW up until now so this has been a great learning experience.  I recently got put on a new project for 3 Creek Ranch Clubhouse. It is a country club out in Jackson, WY. That makes it now my third project out in the area. We are once again working with Prospect architects to redo a part of the clubhouse and pool area. Basically all I have done up until this point is create the CAD base for the project. Hopefully

Kaylin Wilson’s Viewport - First Week

Greetings, Houston is lovely. I really am shocked that I like this city as much as I do. I love the area I’m living in. OJB is nice and the workload the first day compared to the second week is night and day. The first day was really nerve wracking and slow, but now it’s fast paced and busy busy. My coworkers took me out to lunch the first week, such angels. I am the only intern, and have decided to make a file for future interns so they won’t go through what I went through. I just think that would be helpful in the future. Doing a lot of work with VectorWorks and LandFX right now. Sometimes I ride the bus to work, but the drive is only 9 minutes away. Making a ton of new friends! Jk, I have no social life but I am staying busy becuase Houston has a ton of stuff going on. Went to a vegan festival last week, and TWO EDM concerts. Saw KSHMR (10/10) performance absolutely a must see, and KASKADE... eh I would give him a 6.8/10.. Shocking I know. I got a few plants for my apartment and o
